Member Status
Granular status values for contacts in the Member lifecycle stage — engagement health, renewal risk, and tenure flags.
Member Status describes the health of an active EO member's engagement with your chapter. Where Lifecycle Stage is the broad bucket ("they're a Member"), Member Status is the colour-coded detail underneath.
The member-status values EO uses
- Active — paid, engaged, attending Forum and events.
- At Risk — flag for low attendance, unpaid dues, or a chair's concern. Triggers a check-in workflow.
- On Leave — temporary pause approved by the chair (sabbatical, sickness, parental leave). Member retains rights but skips engagement metrics.
- Renewal Due — anniversary is within 60 days; renewal nudges fire.
- Lapsed — failed to renew but still in the chapter directory pending decision.
Renewal automation depends on this field
The chapter's renewal email sequence keys off Renewal Due and Lapsed statuses. If a member's anniversary passes without their status being moved, the welcome-back / win-back workflows skip them and you lose your touchpoint window.
This is why the import step asks chapter admins to verify every Member's anniversary date — it's the trigger.
